چکیده
The High Energy Stereoscopic System (H.E.S.S.) is an array of five imaging atmospheric Cherenkov telescopes (IACTs) to study gamma-ray emission from astrophysical objects in the Southern hemisphere. It only hybrid IACTs, composed with different collection area and footprint, individually optimised for a specific energy range. Collectively, most sensitive gamma rays range 100 GeV TeV. has been operation since 2002 upgraded new cameras multiple times. Recent hardware upgrades changes operational procedures increased amount observing time, which key importance time-domain science. H.E.S.S. operations saw record data taking 2020 2021 we describe current emphasis on system performance, processes workflows, quality control, (near) real-time extraction science results. In light this, will briefly discuss early detection recurrent nova RS Oph alert distribution astrophysics community.

متن کاملCosmic-Ray Events as Background in Imaging Atmospheric Cherenkov Telescopes
The dominant background for observations of γ-rays in the energy region above 50 GeV with Imaging Atmospheric Cherenkov telescopes are cosmic-ray events. The images of most of the cosmic ray showers look significantly different from those of γ-rays and are therefore easily discriminated. However, a small fraction of events seems to be indistinguishable from γ-rays. This constitutes an irreducib...
